Napapiiri-Jukola, Rovaniemi (22/08/2021)

Cold and drizzly when I started at 04:45, and dark enough to use a headlamp for the first 45 mins of my run.

Hard to read the map in the dark and drizzle so was a bit to the left to no. 1, going via the other first control (probably cost less than 30 secs). Slowish at the end of the 2nd leg and to no. 4 - uphill and dense forest, and swung a bit wide to no. 5 and no. 6. Otherwise good (technical pause after no. 10 to get a stone out of my shoe) through to no. 13, which I overran - saw the tracking leading in to the right but thought it was too soon so ended up having to loop back round to it (maybe 1 and half mins?).

Total time lost maybe 3 mins, so probably my best-ever run at Jukola. Very pleasing team result for IFK Kiruna, too, 273rd of the ca 950 teams that started.
